Walmart is well-stocked when it comes to vegan meats, including crispy tenders and Beefless Crumbles from Gardein, meatless balls, vegan chicken strips and Beast Burgers from Beyond Meat, meatless sausages from Field Roast, and options from Tofurky, Boca, Sweet Earth, Morningstar Farms and other brands. Going vegan can seem intimidating for many reasons, one of which is having to change your grocery shopping. However, Whole Foods is not the only place to stock up on vegan staples and plant-based frozen foods.
Walmart now carries a wide selection of vegan foods, most of them at unbeatable prices. We scoured our local Neighborhood Market for the healthiest and tastiest options. There are plenty of vegan foods at Walmart, but if you don’t know what you’re looking for, you’ll quickly get overwhelmed. Choose from Southwest Sausage and Veggie, Sausage Potato and Kale, and Sausage Benny (with vegan scrambled eggs) for a ready-made vegan breakfast bowl found in the frozen section.
Mix this canned vegan tuna with lemon pepper or from the original can with vegan mayo, pickles and anything else you like in your tuna salads for a classic deli sandwich. Most condiments are vegan (again, always check twice), so definitely reach for those, but vegan sugar without bone char is also available, and Walmart is expanding its flour assortment to include almond flour, cassava flour, coconut flour and more. For good reason, sales of plant-based foods are growing 5x as fast as those of other foods.
